Ori Yogev
Chairman
Mr. Yogev, founder and Chairman of Whitewater and former Chairman of the Israel National Economic Council Advisory Committee, is one of the leading personalities impacting the Israeli economy. Over the last twenty five years, Mr. Yogev has held several pivotal positions in industry and government and is highly regarded for his vision and entrepreneurial outlook.
From 1997-2001 Mr. Yogev served as President and CEO of Bezeq International, Israel's leading international communications service provider, handling international telephony. While holding this position, he encouraged the entry of Internet services in Israel, turning Bezeq International into Israel's leading web service provider and owner of WALLA - the country's primary portal. He also served as General Manager of Omni Food Brands (the Israeli franchiser of Domino's Pizza and Haagen-Dazs ice cream). Between the years 2002-2004, Mr. Yogev served as Budget Director of Israel's Ministry of Finance where he initiated numerous economic reforms. As one of Israel's foremost finance figures, Mr. Yogev administered the liquidation of Hasneh Insurance Company. In 2011, he was appointed Chairman of Israel Railways and its Advisory Committee.
Over the last six years, Mr. Yogev's foresight led him to open new frontiers in the world's water industry. As founder and President of Yogev Consultants Ltd., he represented Mr. John Gandel and the Australian Gandel Group, leading them into an era of enhanced value by purchasing major holdings in Plastro Irrigation - a world leader in the irrigation industry, with 75% growth within two years. This success was achieved as a result of organic growth as well as a series of Merger & Acquisition steps involving companies in Spain, France and Australia, until Plastro was acquired by John Deer in May 2007 with positive revenue results.
Mr. Yogev is also founder and Chairman of Waterfronts - Israel Water Alliance, an innovative NGO developing a platform to ensure Israel's position as a world class leader in advanced water solutions. He holds an M.A. in Economics from Jerusalem's Hebrew University.
